5	ReqIF.Text	Os veículos fabricados, montados e encarroçados, nacionais ou importados, devem estar identificados na forma desta Resolução. Parágrafo único. 50	ReqIF.Text	O VIN deve ser gravado no lado direito do chassi ou monobloco, de acordo com as especificações e formatos estabelecidos pela norma da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT) NBR 6066:2022, em profundidade mínima de 0,2 mm.	The VIN shall be engraved on the right side of the chassis or monocoque, in accordance with the specifications and formats established by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) NBR 6066:2022, at a minimum depth of 0.2 mm.

51	ReqIF.Text	No caso de chassi ou monobloco não metálico, o VIN deve ser gravado em plaqueta metálica, destrutível quando da sua remoção, incorporada ou moldada na estrutura do chassi ou monobloco, durante a fabricação.	In the case of a non-metallic chassis or monocoque, the VIN shall be engraved on a metal plate, destructible upon removal, incorporated or molded into the chassis or monocoque structure during manufacturing.

52	ReqIF.Text	É vedado o processo de gravação do VIN por meio de punção manual, excetuando-se os fabricantes de veículos cuja produção não exceda a 500 unidades de veículos por ano.	The process of recording the VIN by manual punching is prohibited, except for vehicle manufacturers whose production does not exceed 500 vehicles per year.

53	ReqIF.Text	Para os fins previstos no caput, o décimo caractere do VIN, estabelecido pela ABNT NBR 6066:2022, pode ser alfanumérico e deve corresponder obrigatoriamente à identificação do ano-modelo do veículo.	For the purposes set forth in the caput, the tenth character of the VIN, established by ABNT NBR 6066:2022, may be alphanumeric and shall obligatorily correspond to the identification of the vehicle's model year.

55	ReqIF.Text	Para os veículos tipo ciclomotor, motoneta, motocicleta, triciclo e quadriciclo, os caracteres do VIN devem ter altura mínima de 4 mm e devem ser gravados em ponto na coluna de suporte de direção ou no chassi monobloco.	For mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, tricycles, and quadricycles, the VIN characters shall have a minimum height of 4 mm and shall be dot-engraved on the steering column support or on the monocoque chassis.

It is prohibited to overlay any film over the VIN engraving, except for those originally applied by the manufacturer for the purpose of protecting the engraving, provided that it does not prevent its visualization or inspection.

76	ReqIF.Text	Em caso da impossibilidade de atendimento ao disposto no inciso II do caput, o número de identificação do motor deve ser afixado no compartimento do motor, replicando a gravação do bloco em etiqueta ou plaqueta destrutível quando da tentativa de remoção, resistente a intempéries e em um componente que não seja facilmente removido ou substituído.	In case it is impossible to comply with the provision in item II of the caput, the engine identification number shall be affixed in the engine compartment, replicating the block engraving on a label or destructible plate that resists weather conditions and is attached to a component that is not easily removed or replaced.

For mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, tricycles, and quadricycles, a second engraving containing the engine identification number shall be applied on a label or plate that is destructible upon removal attempt, weather-resistant, and on a component that is not easily removed or replaced.

78	ReqIF.Text	No caso de motor(es) elétrico(s), a identificação do motor deve ser gravada no seu bloco, carcaça ou componente responsável pela tração do veículo, admitindo-se o uso de plaqueta destrutível que não seja facilmente removida ou substituída, de modo a evitar o risco de descargas elétricas indesejadas.	In the case of electric motor(s), the motor identification shall be engraved on its block, housing, or component responsible for the vehicle's traction, allowing the use of a destructible plate that is not easily removed or replaced, so as to avoid the risk of unwanted electric discharges.
